At the time of his passing, he was serving on state active duty with the Maryland Cybersecurity Task Force, reflecting his continuing dedication to safeguarding his community and nation.
Beyond his formal duties, Captain Rogers played an important role in humanitarian efforts. In 2021, he helped connect the Royal House of Georgia with Operation Snow Leopard during a mission to evacuate Afghan civilians at risk following the fall of Kabul.
His swift action helped mobilise channels used in the broader evacuation effort, which assisted hundreds of people. This act of courage and compassion exemplified his belief that service to others was not merely a duty but a moral imperative.
