On March 15, 2025, the Royal House of Georgia reached a historic milestone by hosting its first investiture ceremony in the Americas. Held at the Westin New York at Times Square, the event marked the expansion of the Royal House’s traditions beyond Europe and reinforced its global presence in recognizing distinguished service and merit.
The ceremony was presided over by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Davit Bagrationi Mukhranbatoni, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, accompanied by his son, His Royal Highness Prince Giorgi Bagrationi. His Highness Kimon Andreou, Rector General for the Americas, hosted the event and guided the proceedings with careful attention to the Royal House’s traditions.
During the ceremony, 14 individuals were formally invested as knights and dames, while two others received promotions to higher ranks. Each honor reflected the Royal House’s dedication to recognizing service, loyalty, and chivalry.
Prince Davit opened the ceremony with a welcome address and expressed his gratitude to those in attendance. His Highness Kimon Andreou then spoke about the significance of the occasion and provided an overview of the vision and purpose of the Order of the Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ, a values-based order dedicated to service and to the betterment of humanity.
Following the investiture, the Royal Heraldic College of Georgia (RHCG) delivered a special presentation. His Excellency Emanuel Kingsley, Viscount Kingsley of Fort George, who serves as Herald Master, and Her Excellency Tania Crossingham, Royal Heraldic Artist, offered insight into the RHCG’s role in preserving and advancing the heraldic traditions of the Royal House. Tania Crossingham’s presentation on the artistry of heraldry illustrated the historical significance of each coat of arms and its role in lineage and identity.
The inaugural investiture in the Americas marked a defining moment in the history of the Royal House of Georgia. It strengthened the Royal House’s presence across continents and opened a new era of engagement with those dedicated to upholding its traditions. As the Royal Orders continue to grow, the event set the stage for future gatherings and reinforced the bonds of honor, heritage, and service at the heart of the Royal House’s mission.
